All Space Internet Workshop program activities will take place at:

NASA Goddard Space Flight Center
Greenbelt, Maryland
USA

Main sessions: Building 8, Auditorium

Poster sessions & demonstrations: Building 28, Atrium

Directions

  • From Washington, DC: Take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (Route 295) North to Greenbelt Road (Route 193). Take Greenbelt Road East for approximately two miles. The main gate will be on the left at the first traffic light after Cipriano Road. Visitors not on NASA business should continue on to the next traffic light and turn left onto Soil Conservation Road. Turn left at the first opportunity to reach the Visitor Center.
  • From Baltimore: Take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (Route 295) South to the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center. Exit at Powder Mill Road and follow the signs to the Goddard Visitor Center. If you are on official business, continue past the turn for the Visitor Center to the next traffic light (Greenbelt Road). Turn right on Greenbelt Road, then turn right at the next traffic light to enter the main gate.

Airport Information

Baltimore Washington International (BWI) Airport is located approximately 30 minutes north of Goddard Space Flight Center and is the most convenient airport. Other airports servicing the area are Washington Reagan National Airport (approximately 45 minutes) and Dulles International Airport (approximately one hour).

In addition to the usual car rental and taxi services, BWI offers the Airport Connection II limo service. The shuttle cost is approximately $16.00 one way and will take you directly to and from the hotel. The shuttle runs every 1 1/2 hours and can be obtained at the baggage claim area of BWI. Advance reservations should be made by calling (301) 441-3108. If you are flying into National, one option is to take the Metro. The best route is to take the yellow line to the Gallery Place-Chinatown station and switch to the red line. Take the red line to Ft. Totten and change to the green line. The last stop on the green line is Greenbelt. From there you'll have to take a taxi to your hotel. Travel time via the Metro between National and Greenbelt is about 30-40 minutes (more during commuter hours).
